About Us
Our Mission
Oak City Cares is a services hub for connecting individuals and families at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness to coordinated services that create a path to stable housing and renewed hope.
Our Vision
Oak City Cares envisions a community where all people have access to stable housing and their human dignity, worth, and rights are respected; where the length of time a person experiences homelessness is minimized by removing the barriers that hinder them from accessing essential and coordinated services; and where community collaborations with government, non-profit and faith-based organizations strengthen the pathways to these life rebuilding services.
We value:
- The worth and human dignity of all guests.
- A caring and compassionate environment where people come first.
- The collaboration of service providers whose objective is the coordination of client-centered care.
- Committed volunteers and their ability to build relationships that are critical to restoring hope in the lives of the people experiencing homelessness.
- Endeavors that result in community impact through partnerships of government, business, healthcare, and faith-based organizations coming together.
